It's our 19th monthsary today! We went nature tripping and hot spring-ing (bwahaha! :P) to Calamba, Laguna. There are lots of hot spring resorts in the area. As in magkakatabi lang talaga. But we chose Dona Jovita Garden Resort because:
- It's quite far from town proper which means less noise pollution.
- Almost near the foothills of Mt. Makiling!
When we arrived there, napa-wow kami. Ang laki ng place tapos striking talaga ung signature jar nila na naka-display sa labas at ang mga kabayo na pagala-gala. haha.
The entrance fee is only 110php (peak season rate) plus 420php if you want to rent a picnic hut/cottage. Grillers are available upon request. 100php rental fee for one whole day, 150 for overnight. They give 1 free bag of charcoal if you get a griller! Ayos! :)
Kaso kahit may griller at charcoal kami, we came unprepared. Wala kaming gas, posporo at paper para mag-ihaw. We tried our best though to make a fire kaso wala e. Di namin kinaya. :P So we ended up ordering food in the reception. :P

Sabi ni Paul, dapat alternate sa hot spring at swimming pool. Sa hot spring muna para mag-open ang mga pores tapos sa cold water na para naman mag-close. O ha! Gaganda daw ang blood circulation at skin! :)
It was my first time to swim in a hot spring so nagulat ako na sobrang init pala talaga. (malamang. :P) But when i get used to the temperature, it was super relaxing. Pwede na akong matulog habang nakakababad sa pool! :P
Sa cold water naman, nagpractice lang kami ng freestyle at backstroke. It's been 4 years since we took up swimming classes (PE 2), medyo nakalawang na ang skill na yun pero okay pa din naman. Kaya pa. :P Na-piggy back (finally!) na din ako ni Paul! Thanks to bouyancy! Gumaan ako. :P
Aside from swimming, there are more activities that you can do in the resort: billiards, table tennis, horseback riding and karaoke. The management has also set up a trail for those who are brave enough to hike up at enchanting Mt. Makilng! Siguro if we came in earlier, niyaya ko si Paul mag-trekking. Maybe next time. :)

This is our first trip together this 2010, I wish we can travel more (as in LuzViMinda!) this year. How about, Baguio on Valentine's Day? :) haha.
